§ Accessibility

Built to be usable by everyone.

Most of our applicants are on phones, often on slow connections. Accessibility isn't a retrofit here — it's a requirement we hold from the first commit. This statement says what we aim for, what we've done, and where we still have work to do.

01

Our commitment

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across this website and the application portal, so the site works with a keyboard, a screen reader, and at a range of screen sizes and zoom levels. We treat accessibility failures as bugs, not nice-to-haves.

02

What we've built in

  • Semantic, structured HTML with meaningful headings and landmarks.
  • Full keyboard navigation, with visible focus states on interactive elements.
  • Colour contrast checked against AA on our navy palette.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and labelled form fields with clear error messages.
  • A mobile-first, responsive layout that reflows down to small phone screens without loss of content.
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences where animation is used.

03

Known limitations

The institute — and this site — are in formation. Some newer areas may not yet fully conform, and a few third-party components (for example payment or email flows) are partly outside our direct control. Where we know of a gap, we're working to close it. If you hit a barrier we haven't listed, please tell us.

04

Browsers & assistive technology

We test against current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop and mobile, and aim to support common screen readers. If you use an older browser or a specific assistive tool and something doesn't work, let us know the details and we'll do our best to help.

05

Need help, or spotted a problem?

If any part of the site or application is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, contact us at admissions@wiatech.sl. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you were using — that helps us fix it faster. We aim to respond within two business days, and we won't let an accessibility barrier stand between a capable applicant and their application.

06

Ongoing work

This is a living statement. As we add features and receive feedback, we'll keep testing and update this page. The date above reflects the most recent review.
